The Fox and the Lion

Listen to Wendy read the fable

The first time the fox saw a lion he fell down at its feet, ready to die of fright.

The second time he still shook with fear, but he managed to raise his eyes and take a quick look at the lion's face.

The third time he was so bold that he walked right up to the lion and began to talk to it as if he had known it all his life.

The moral of the story is:
Familiarity breeds contempt.
